2nd Summer Fieldtrip to The Living Planet Aquarium

Growing up I wanted to be a marine biologist.  I have a deep love for whales, though you won’t find any of those in Utah.  What we do have is The Living Planet Aquarium, and they have the cutest penguins.  The exhibit was AMAZING!

I loved that you could stand right next to the glass and see them swimming, waddling, and diving into the water.  Did you know penguins live all over the world, in different climates? We also loved the poison dart frog, nurse sharks, jelly fish, and hands-on sting ray exhibit.  Afterwards we headed home to make our favorite animal from the aquarium out of clay.  We also made their habitats.

I told my oldest this was as close to a poison dart frog as he was ever going to get!

Make sure to check out their newest edition, a sea turtle.  The Living Planet Aquarium just keeps getting better and better!!
