Marvelous and Grand
Music was Great
And the ultimate M.G.:
I was lucky enough to attend the Mindy Gledhill concert last night @ the Covey Center in Provo. I can’t even tell you how much fun my family and I had. Normally my two youngin’s are not into late evening activities, but even they had a fantastic time.
The Thrillionaires started out the night with a funny as…impromptu musical. I laughed so hard and enjoyed it a lot. Not only are they funny, but they are really talented too! I am going to catch them again on August 9th @ 9 p.m. The Thrillionaires will thrill @ the Velour in Provo.
Now back to the main groove, Mindy Gledhill. I’m speechless. I don’t even know where to start or what to say. I was completely blown away by her talent, her lyrics, her band, and her personality. You name it she had it covered and then some. I haven’t been to a concert I was this crazy about in a really long time. She reminded me a little of Lisa Loab and I love her, so that might be part of it. I loved Mindy’s dress and style, that might be part of it. I loved that her band had a fashion all their own with surplus talent, that might have been part of it. Whatever ‘IT’ was I’m so glad Mindy and her band have it. I related to a lot of the lyrics in her songs and could picture myself singing them in my shower (yes I do that, you should try it if you don’t). There is nothing like a song that reaches beyond what’s visible to the very core of what is you. It’s funny because I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had never really listened to Mindy’s music before and was just going because at the Casual Bloggers Conference she seemed like such a fun person. My instincts were right on the money…she is a way fun person. She made me want to be a better me. To reach for the stars. To live my impossible dream. I would recommend following her blog, listening to her tunes, and catching her live! Thanks for a fantastic night of music Mindy, band and a side of some thrilling Thrillionairs!
