“The Eeny Weeny Beeny Ghost” Free Halloween Story Download
My kids love Halloween, but they don’t necessarily like to be scared. Monster’s Inc. and It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown are about as scary as we can go. Ten’s best friend is a big fan of Ghost Hunters. Even hearing about an episode is enough to leave the light on all night.
When I received this free October download from Bill Harley on my e-mail I was delighted. Bill Harley is a two-time Grammy Award winning story-teller. His story, “The Eeny Weeny Beeny Ghost,” is just my girls’ brand of Halloween scary (not at all.) I burned it to a CD and played it last night at dinner. Instead of crying, they were laughing and we were all wanting more Bill Harley stories.
If you don’t know Bill Harley, I’m happy to be the one to tell you about him. I became a fan about fifteen years ago when I heard him at a Storyteller’s Festival. It was B.K. (before kids) for me, but I was teaching school and bought a couple of his cassettes to share with my students.
Last year, he performed at another Storyteller’s Festival near my home. I had sort of forgotten how much fun he was. My girls loved his performance and we’ve been checking out Bill Harley from the library ever since. A quick library search pulls up dozens of his audio books and CD’s. Download this month’s free story, and you’ll continue to get a free download every month.
Although he did sign my cassette tape fifteen years ago, he is not a personal friend and did not ask me to write this. I’m just a fan. You and your kids might be too.

For some reason I am not finding the free book download
Perhaps it is only available if you have previously been an email subscriber to his site?? I hope not!! I have a 2yo DD and am just discovering great children’s books and authors. I would love this NON-scary Book
Thanks, Teresa M. tmack_5_0@yahoo.com.
Teresa–click on the link I have listed on the site. Go to the box that lists the stories for sale. “Eeny Beeny Ghost” has FREE DOWNLOAD in red below it. Click on it. It should lead you through from there.
We love Bill Harley too. My kids are 10 and 8 and we were tired of taking the DVD player in the car for our weekend car trips so I thought I would check into some stories or audiobooks. We discovered Bill Harley’s “Yes to Running” Double CD. My kids literally peed in their pants listening to his stories. The best part is the kids love the stories for the story themselves, us parents love the stories for the nostalgia. His songs are good too but we want more stories! Thanks for sharing the download information. I’m headed over to his site to sign up now.
