Last Sunday we went to Park City for the afternoon to see the fall leaves in full swing and to enjoy the beautiful weather. We ended up on the trail off Highway SR-224 at the old McPolin Farm also known as “The Big White Barn off of the Highway”. You see it everytime you drive into Park City. There are some beautiful paved trails with benches along the way and the trail is currently displaying the scarecrows from the Scarecrow Festival in September.
Some of our favorites:
If you are looking for a fun, free, fall activity – this is a good one to check out before the snow starts to fall in Park City. Bring your kids, bring their bikes, scooters or big wheels or just set them free. This trail is easy to keep track of your kids on and a low pressure activity. There is even a cow pasture towards the end of the trail.
We’ll be making one of our own scarecrows to enter next year!
Just park your car off SR-224 (the main road leading into Park City) and turn on Meadows Dr. where you can park on the street. You’ll see that there is an entrance to the trail there and there is a big blue bird (reminding me of Twitter) to greet you there.
Enjoy! (and then head up to Main Street for some goodies!)
