Free-bee Camping Days At Your Favorite National Park

The US National Park Service just released the 2011 schedule for free camping days–fee-free days at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees.

  • January 15-17
(Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday weekend)
  • April 16-24
    (National Park Week)
  • June 21
    (First day of summer)
  • September 24
    (Public Lands Day)
  • November 11-13
    (Veterans Day weekend)

I’m a little disappointed that they removed the free camping days in July and August, but you’ll have a less crowded campground in late spring and fall anyway.  Hmmm…there’s got to be somewhere down south I can reserve for this next weekend–that’s three days free!  Go here for more information and a list of national parks.
