Did you know that the first Saturday in June is Free Fishing Day in Utah? This year it falls on Saturday June 4th.
Did you know that Utah has a state fish? The Rainbow Trout can be found in all but three states, and although it lives mostly in fresh water, it is capable of living for a time in salt water. The largest rainbow trout on record caught in Utah was in 1979. It was 26 lbs 2 oz, and was caught by Del Canty at Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
Get out on June 4th and enjoy fishing on one of Utah’s many lakes and streams!
