These are a few of my favorite things…
When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling bad. I simply remember my favorite foods and then I don’t feel so baaaaaad!!!
Now that you have that song in your head for the rest of the day we can get on to business. I have probably cooked, oh, about 500 different slow cooker recipes in the last 2 1/2 years. I have my own system of rating each recipe (which you can read more about on my blog). But just because I’ve rated something with 5 stars doesn’t mean I’ve made it a million times. It just means I really liked it. Why haven’t I made it again? Well maybe the ingredients were a little hard to find. Or maybe it just took too much time. Or maybe I loved it but nobody else in my family did. So I’ve decided to compile a list of my favorite recipes. These have passed an important 3-pronged test:
1. It tastes good
2. It was fairly easy to make and the ingredients are easy to find
3. My family liked it
These are the recipes that I keep coming back to. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! (P.S. What recipes do you just keep coming back to? Links please!!)

Hi!
I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of crock pot you use….
I am an American in Austria and about to venture into the world of cooking in a crockpot.
However, I’d like to be armed with information on what to buy. I am a bit freaked out about the crockpot because of lead recalls too.
Thanks so much in advance.
warmest, Chris
Hi Christene,
I use a few different slow cookers. 2 hamilton beach and 3 rival crockpot brand. They all work fine for me. I’m not sure about the lead content. I think that All Clad brand is a safe bet for that…although I haven’t really researched it. Karen
