The Homestead Resort in Midway starts their annual Scarecrow Festival this weekend. It runs from October 1st through October 31st, and is something you do not want to miss!
There is no admission fee, and you can stop by any time during the day to view the scarecrows. Local businesses and organizations have donated their time and resources to build scarecrows on the front lawn of The Homestead. It’s fun to see the variety of all the different scarecrows. These are not your typical stuffed with straw scarecrows; every year they are more different and unique than the year before.
Our favorite activity is to drive the Alpine Loop and view the Fall leaves. Make sure you stop at Cascade Springs to walk around and stretch your legs, and take a few pictures. From Cascade Springs, follow the road down into Midway and Heber, and finish your day off with The Homestead Scarecrow Festival and lunch/dinner on the deck of The Homestead. The waitress might even give your kids bread to feed the fish!
