This is the only snowman we’ve been able to squeak out this winter before the snow melts away. But I hear there is still plenty of snow to ski on in the mountains. This month, Ski Utah is offering screaming ski deals for Utah locals. January is national “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month” and there couldn’t be a more affordable time to learn to ski.
On Friday, our family is taking advantage of the “Lucky 13” package offered by theCanyons Ski Resort. My 9 year old and my 5 year old are going to get $13 rentals, a $13 lesson, and a $13 lift pass. They will ski with their ski instructor from 9:00 a.m to 3:15 p.m. and lunch is included!
In the meantime, my husband and I are going to be skiing together at the Canyons using our free passes from our Geigerrig Hydration Pack Skull Candy Passport. The Geigerrig Hydration Packs were sold on a road show at Costco right before Christmas and come with passes to several local resorts if you show up at the ticket office wearing the pack. Not my usual wear for skiing, but have you priced ski passes lately? Totally worth it.
Our 6th grader will be skiing using her 6th Grade Ski Passport. $25 gives her one free pass to every resort in Utah this season.
We will buy my 14 year old’s adult day pass from The Sports Authority for $74. That saves us $15 off the regular price at the resort.
There are lots more ski deals for Utah locals listed on the Ski Utah site and lots of insider tips on the Ski Utah Blog. We’re excited to take advantage of some of these deals and go find some winter!
