Utah Freebie at Clark Planetarium
Did you know that the Clark Planetarium is free to walk in, check out the exhibits, and explore?! The only events that require admission are the lazer light shows and imax movies. All of the exhibits, including walking on the Moon and Mars, are completely free!
The Clark Planetarium is located at The Gateway Mall in downtown Salt Lake City. If you park in the Winter parking, you can walk directly underneath the planetarium, and into the building, without ever having to set foot outside. It’s perfect for cold and snow days!
While there, you can learn about a local astronaut, Senator Jake Garn. You can also learn about the Earth’s gravity, the cycles of the moon, Mars, the size of all the planets, the surface of the Moon and Mars, and purchase some astronaut food. I enjoyed the astronaut food, but my kids weren’t fans.
