My finance career started back in 1997. I worked my way up learning all that I could to help everyone who sat at my desk. I am a honest person, I want your money to work for you! I love helping people get out of debt. What else.... wife.mother.friend.photographer. Finance.art.fitness.DIY-er.Volleyball.outdoors.beginner chef.Coach.and attempting to sew.

Financial Resolutions Tip #2 – Online Banking

You may think I’m crazy but… tip #2 is to do your banking online. Yes, there are still some people who don’t. If you’re one of the ones who doesn’t, my suggestion is to try it.

Go to your financial institution and sit down with one of their reps and have them walk you through the online process. There are so many programs that can help you keep track of your finances online that it will end up saving you time, which is more valuable than money. There is Microsoft money, quicken, mint, budget tracker.

Your financial institution may even have a program on their own website that you can put in your own budget and keep track. Long gone are the days when your written checks are mailed back to you. They’re online to print if you need, so you don’t have to worry about that big xerox box of carbon copy checks to store. You can even get your household bills to come in electronic format and use bill payer to send them off.

With anything online, make sure you read their privacy policy before entering in your personal information.
