I am a mother to two awesome kids, and have been married to my favorite hubby (okay, my only hubby, but still my favorite!) since October 1999. Our favorite thing to do is get out of the house and find adventures! I am the founder and creator of Enjoy Utah!, a site dedicated to helping families get out of the house and see all that Utah has to offer! I contribute as a blog writer for the Salt Lake Visitors Bureau, and also write CityGuides for SheKnows.com.. I am excited to be a part of Today's Mama! I co-own a DJ Business with my hubby, and also do the online marketing and manage the blog and social media for Gines Auto Service.

Salt Lake City St Patricks Day Parade and Siamsa

shamrockA treasured Utah tradition for St. Patrick’s Day is the annual parade and Siamsa, put on by the Hibernian Society of Utah.  This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, March 17th 2012 at The Gateway.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Bless The American Worker”. The parade begins at 10am, and will travel through The Gateway mall. Get there early, because this annual tradition becomes more popular each year.

Directly after the parade, the Siamsa will begin. Siamsa is the Irish word for “celebration”. It will take place at The Gateway Grand Hall. There will be Irish food, music and dancing. It will last until 4pm.
