So my middle daughter totally cracks me up. She always has. Since a very young age she has had the sarcastic humor of an adult. An old carpool once told me that Amanda was the only one who would get her jokes. Well over the weekend she walked out on our front porch and said “Mom, Look I am Snooki”. (I have to tell my husband to quit watching Jersey Shore on Netflix). To top it all off, as I was getting ready for bed, my youngest daughter said, “You know how she got her hair to do that?” “How?” I asked. “With a toilet paper roll,” was her reply. Holy Cow. Ingenuity at it’s finest!!!
Here is just a sampling of some of my “Conversations with Amanda” –
I pick Amanda up from gymnastics. Her bangs are in a ponytail sticking straight off her head. She kind of looks like a unicorn. We go to Costco. I ask her “Are you going in like that?” She said “Yes.” “Really I ask?” She says, “Yeah, why?” I say, “What if I am embarrassed?” She says “Mom, you need to work on your image anyway.”
