Design a Journal for Summer Writing

I am in love . . .

with these DIY books from Paper Coterie.  I was introduced to the site through a giveaway at The Mom Creative and found myself with $25 to spend. I found a spot to design a journal. One for me:

And one for my biking husband:

I’m saving it for Father’s Day.

I have a real weakness for cool journals and ever since these came in the mail, I’ve been wanting to make more.  In preparation for summer writing with my girls, I am going to let them all choose and design a journal this weekend. They were all jealous of mine anyway.  Our family takes summer journals pretty seriously. It’s fun to start off the summer with a special book.

I do not work for Paper Coterie, but have become such a fast fan of their products. The journals I ordered came quickly and were beautifully packaged. I just like the way they do it. I’m checking this site out for all kinds of projects.

LOVE LOVE LOVE journals, and especially for summer! It is SO important for kids to learn how to write down their experiences for future generations to read! Even normal, every day things such as what chores they have, what they do on a regular day, etc., will be fascinating to their grandkids one day!
