Even when I’m trying to eat healthy and lower my calorie intake I still want my chocolate fix. In these times I really try to be creative and make something that will taste awesome and trick my taste buds into thinking I’ve had a delicious dessert full of calories! This is one of my favorite tricks lately. It’s so simple with only 3 ingredients but it seriously tastes so awesome…it has the consistency of a chocolate shake–kind of like a Frosty. This recipe is also vegan and has no added sugars!
Vegan Chocolate Shake:
- 170 grams of sliced bananas (about 1 1/2 bananas)
- 1/2 cup (4 oz) almond milk
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
1. Place the sliced bananas in a plastic bag or container and freeze until frozen solid.
2. Once bananas are frozen you’re ready to make your shake. Pour almond milk into the bottom of a blender. Sprinkle with cocoa powder, Top with frozen bananas.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Serve and enjoy!
